About Us

Capacity Development Organization for Women (CDOW) is an independent, non-governmental, and non-profitable social organization established by a group of committed and well-educated youths with massive experience in different sectors and fully familiarized with Afghanistan's economic, social, cultural, political, and environmental context. Its core objective is to promote women's capacity development and provide them with different business opportunities. It was registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan in 2015 as a non-profit organization with registration number (3435) and is also affiliated with different International and national Social Welfare Organizations working in the Women's Development Sector. CDOW is involved in different business areas such as women's development and capacity building, promoting social traditional occupations, mental health, reproductive health, primary education and literacy, research on women's economic and social conditions, and other social and economic efforts to enhance women's well-being in the country. We promote Afghan women through the development of professionalism and provide them with opportunities to take initiative and be capable of result-oriented programs in close coordination and cooperation with the relevant stakeholders.
